Large, highly aromatic leaves with spikes of white flowers from early spring to late autumn. Leaves can be used in cooking wherever a basil taste is required. Its cold hardy nature will ensure the availability of basil right through winter. Pick fresh leaves during the growing season, remove the flower heads regularly to encourage leaf growth and a more compact, bushy plant. Made into a cough syrup with honey and taken as an infusion for colds

ULTRA MODERN LABORATORY
At Larry Shane GreenHouse Of Wellness we offer diagnosis for a variety of diseases we treat. Our New Ultra Modern Laboratory is where tests are carried out on clinical specimens to obtain information about the health of our patient to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the disease
For years, patients who visit our clinics were often referred to other private facilities to have their lab tests as our facility did not have the necessary equipment for such tests. This sometimes resulted in inaccurate, unreliable test results and eventually wrong diagnosis, putting the lives of patients at risk.
With our New Ultra modern laboratory we are able to diagnose patients of their illness before a treatment is recommended.
For patients who have already been diagnosed, a diagnostic procedure is not required.
Our Place
It all started at Cape Town South Africa, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western Cape. We chose the Cape Town region because it is one of the most biodiverse regions in South Africa, we also build an annual seed bank that begins the Gaia Herbs seed-to-shelf journey
Celery: HERBS FOR COOKING
This popular vegetable has erect, succulent, semicircular stems and bright green, aromatic leaves. If not cropped the plant will produce flowers and then seed. The stems and leaves are used in salads, stews and soups. Culinary use:
- Cream cheese, Curries, Pickles, Soups, Stews, Salads,
- Poultry stuffings,
- Add finely chopped leaves to milk for poaching fish and shellfish,
- The dried leaves can be crumbled and used as flavouring
- Use as a salt substitute in a salt-free diet. Grind into a powder to use as an ingredient of celery salt.
